The power creep is so high that any more and there’s no ceiling left for cool seasonal themes. At this point in the game, that’s just not possible for anything non-cosmetic. So if it doesn’t make much sense to bring rewards from season to non-season, you’re really talking bringing rewards from season to season. You simply acquire things so quickly in this game.įor most people they’re only going to play seasons or non-seasons as there is only a week or two difference a few times of year where they don’t overlap. You may have more paragon or perfectly rolled items in non-season but the season themes tend to compensate for that. If you’re that invested in seasons, and we’re not talking about much here, you’ll have enough base line power through seasons that there is very little real difference between what you have in seasonal play vs non-seasonal. Playing seasons to get non-season rewards makes little practical sense with the way Diablo 3 operates. This is where this premise completely falls flat. Need a reward, I agree you don’t, but it’s good to have it, no one argues. Cosmetics are one thing, actual gameplay bonuses is another. The stash space alone right now has been highly contested on “FORCING” people to play season. You shouldn’t be penalized for NOT playing a season. Several play cause they enjoy the fresh start, or the new leaderboards, or the season theme effect.
They dont need a “reward” for doing it nor should there be.
